IAF Holds Its 37th General Assembly

The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) held its 37th General Assembly (GA) during the 2023 Joint IAF-ILAC Annual Meetings held from 06-15 November in Montreal, Canada. The meeting was led by IAF Chair Emanuele Riva, who reported on key initiatives including the One Organization Project, IAF CertSearch, the advocacy role of IAF, and IAF’s role in supporting sustainability.

He announced that a multi-year contract with Axis Mundi had been signed for the provision of future IAF, ILAC and New Body secretariat services beginning 01 January 2024. The role of IAF Secretary has now been assumed by Victor Gandy, whose years of service as Inter-American Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC) Secretary position him well to manage the IAF Secretariat as IAF and ILAC continue working towards the formation of the New Body.
